Argh. How can people stand to use such horrible spelling all the time? Normal teens are morons.

She doesn't want to go with me. She asked me as a slap in the face to the guy she isn't going with now, because she wanted to prove that anyone would be a better choice than him.

I'm a sophomore, and I don't want to go in the first place. Formal events are boring. Since this is a high school thing, I don't even expect good food.

You're not thinking big picture, my friend. Think how big a slap in the face it would be if her 'nothing-boy' date went with someone she didn't even know.

Besides, it wouldn't hurt your reputation, a grand ole snub like that.

Oh, man. That's really too bad.

Well, here's what I'd say you should do. Give yourself something to look forward to! Make plans for after prom, something really nice for yourself. Oh, and have a good lunch or something beforehand too. That way, when you're at prom and not having fun, you can think "Well, but at least I had a good lunch."

But try to have fun too, cause prom is supposed to be fun.

It won't be fun. I'll be a really short SOPHOMORE with the girl who thinks she's going to be Prom Queen, so even if I don't get beat up, I'll still have to wear an uncomfortable outfit and suffer through music I don't like.

And with my luck, she'll make up with her ex-date so I'm stuck calling the fosterthing for a ride back to the house.
