Nagi is hanging out in the break room at the offices. His meal of the hour is in the microwave, and he's got his feet up on the table as he does something on his PDA. It could be reviewing his paperwork or it could be a game of Bejeweled. Or he could be plotting his next killing spree. Nagi is a teen of many talents.

The rest of his life might be a mess, but his multiversal porn company is doing quite well.

Mio comes into the break room and sits down across from Nagi. "Good afternoon, Naoe-shacho." She opens the history textbook she's carrying and begins to flip through it, trying to find the page she left off on.

Nagi makes a vaguely grunting noise that acknowledges Mio's existance. He's eating lunch a bit later than he likes. He'll be much more verbal after his food is ready.

Mio finds her page and begins to read. She's grown accustomed to Nagi's lack of communicativeness when he's hungry in the months that she's been working here. It'll be fairly pointless to try to talk to him now, she can wait until after he's gotten some food in him to try to converse.

If Nagi was paying attention, he'd be disappointed to have so little effect.

When the microwave beeps, Nagi uses his mind to open the microwave and get his food.

Show off, Mio thinks as she blatantly ignores Nagi's use of his powers. She flips a page only to realize she's come to the end of the section. She closes the book and puts it back in her bag. Standing up and walking over to the counter, she says, "I'm going to make tea, do you want any?"

Nagi sets his PDA aside so that he can concentrate on his food. "Nah. It's too warm for tea today."

Dammit, she must have been projecting again. While she's making the tea, she also takes the opportunity to shore up her shields. When she's done she comes back over to the table and sits down with her tea. She takes a couple of sips before setting her teacup down. "Actually, there was something I wanted to talk to you about, if you have time..."

"I'll be graduating from high school in June, and I want to go onto college after that. I've found a world that looks promising, but I'm going to need help establishing an identity there. I was hoping you could refer me to an individual who could help me obtain the necessary documentation." Basically, Mio wants a forger, but she's entirely too polite to say such a thing directly.

There is of course, also the question of cost, but Mio's not going to talk about that right now. She's done her research, and she knows that with her income and as an independent student any school will be falling all over itself to give her need-based aid even if she didn't get a single merit scholarship. However, most of that aid depended upon her being able to prove that she was a U.S. citizen, which brought her right back to the need to find a good forger.

"Oh, that's easy. Tell me what world and what specifics you need on the paperwork." Nagi can do that himself, though he won't tell Mio that since she gets oddly disapproving at him when he does illegal things. It's rather silly of her, he thinks.

If Mio knew what Nagi was thinking, she would think he was being rather unfair. She completely understands the need for forgery in this situation. Really, it's only when illegal gains of money start happening that she starts getting all huffy and disapproving. But the narration is digressing.

Mio gives Nagi the coordinates of the world she's considering. It's one of the worlds Nagi has a branch office on. "I'll need a social security number for sure. It won't be immediately necessary, but a birth certificate would also be useful. I don't care where it says I am from as long as I'm a native born U.S. citizen. Also, would it be all right with you if I forwarded my mail to the office, or should I establish a separate mailing address?"

"I don't mind if you do, but if you want to claim residency in a state to get better tuition, I think you need proof of a home address. Do we already have an office in the state you want?" Nagi enters some things into his PDA.

"The office on that world is located in California, but all but one of the schools I'm looking at currently are located in different states. None of the scholarships I'm looking at currently require residency in a specific state though, so I don't think it particularly matters where I claim as my address. It will be much easier to just forward my mail through the office rather than trying to set up an entirely new address.

"Oh, by the way, on my birth certificate, please make sure that I'm at least 18 so I don't have to worry about providing information for a legal guardian."

As for the age thing, Nagi just gives Mio a Look. He does, in fact, know how to do these things.

"Yeah, I did," Nagi grumbles. Sure he looks like a kid, but that gives him more insight into lying about ages!

Cue Mio looking proper once the subject of company credit cards comes up. "Oh, you don't have to do that. I don't want to make the company pay for my expenses. I can manage on my own." She takes quite a lot of pride in being self-reliant, in fact.

Nagi shrugs. "So we set up payment system so it comes out of your paycheck or something. It just takes a little while longer to make sure credit checks will come up correctly sometimes."
